Five Senses and a Fear The hardwood floor creaks as I walk across to the crackling orange fire. The smell of warm hickory fills the air while outside wolves cry out their frustrations to the moon. The warm light of the fire illuminates an antique rocking chair with an old crocheted blanket and a tattered couch. Facing the couch is an old oak console television. It reminds me of my grandmother’s house, what would she think of me now? I turn the television on, but only grey, black, and white chaos fills the screen, so I turn it off, returning to the calmness of the abandoned mountain house.Five Senses and a Fear
